Default VAFC I vs. VAFC II

I have done some research and found that the major difference between the VAFC I and II is that the II has more points of tuning.

I am pretty new to VAFC's and tuning and was just wondering if I should buy a VAFC I or spend the extra money for a VAFC II.

I am just looking to tune my car with my bolt-on mods to get some extra power. I just have bolt-on mods like intake, exhaust, header, etc., so it isn't anything crazy like FI.

Thanks!

If you just wanna lower Vtec engagement then stick with VAFC, but I mean I would just be patient and save for the Emanage; get a sweet tune with some simple bolt ons .

Question, now that greddy has gone under, can you still get tech and customer support from them?

vafc is a really cheap way to get some good gains from bolt ons. I got my used vafc with plug and play harness for $125 shipped. Gained peak power of 9whp and over 8500 I gained like 17whp. Gained all the throughout the rpm range as well. Emanage will get you more gains since you can adjust timing but not always worth the extra money up front for basic bolt ons.

You'd never see the difference on the dyno between the two. The only concern with the VAFC 1 is the age of the circuit board and the number of times it has been heat cycled.

whats with the head slap. I was trying to help out the OP? Every time someone asks this question, its always the same answer...'get a diff blah blah'

What about someone who just wants Vtec lower for autox, track, whatever? If they just want to stay in second gear all the way through a track?

Is it as simple as just "lowering the VTEC point"?
