Default Vaikhari OEM Hardtop

Just installed a Vaikhari OEM hardtop on my S2000, with OEM side and rear seals. Fit of the top is very good with no gaps, wind noise or leaks. Only issue I have is rattling from my front soft top latches, which I hope will be addressed with going to the OEM hardtop only latches.

Vaikhari shell with OEM seals could be a game changer.

Is the shell good quality or another made in china crap? Can you compare it to the OEM?

Vaikhari aluminum shell is well made and very rigid, so the fit/alignment is spot on. I can't compare to the original OEM hardtop, since I 've never owned one.

The top comes from Vaikhari painted flat black, which I like.

I am looking at this HT also, glad to see your review. The front latch will rattle even with the OEM HT latch and OEM HT, because I had rattling issue before, but its a easy fix to add some foam inside and should fix it.

But my HT was stolen earlier the year, hence I am looking at this vendor as well. Too bad its now show out of stock and they have not reply any of my inquiry.... =(

Just installed the hardtop strikers and hardtop latches, which eliminated the rattles from the front of the top. I just drove over the worst city streets that I could find and this top is now dead quiet with no rattles or squeaks. I think that since the Vaikhari top is aluminum and is very rigid helps to eliminate any flexing during driving, which eliminates the noise that you typically get with FRP and carbon fiber tops.

The Vaikhari top was $3000+shipping, and includes the OEM style rear side latches and catchers, OEM side seals and OEM rear seal. The rear latches and catchers are made by Ballade and work great. Almost an exact copy of the Honda rear latches/catchers, but works with roll bars (unlike the OEM ones).

How much was shipping to SD?

Wonder what the price difference b/n a vinyl wrap and painting the HT is.

I think I'd just get it wrapped... most likely cheaper, and for sure much quicker.
