i would take ur car and install where ever you pick it up... I did this for a car i used to have when i bought a carbon fiber hood.

How bad would it be if you supported the hardtop with just the front latches w/o the rear side catchers? I would think that would be better than the audi pictured above.

I put mine in the back of my dads dodge ram 2500, it was shipped to my work and I wanted to do instal at home . SInce mine was shipped in a box I didnt need it coverd from work to my place

I have done it several ways. I picked it up and just dropped my top and locked
in the front catchers without the rear ones installed. No problem just a
little noisy. I also one time installed the side catchers before hand and it took 2 mins to install once I picked it up.

My 2nd s2000 I got the oem hardtop for $1200 with no hardware.
I just used ratcheting straps to hold it on and 8 months later still working good.
Too cheap too spend $400 on hardware for a hardtop I paid $1200 for.

I just picked up my 2nd HT I drove 4hrs each way to get it save the hassle of trying to find a car and borrowing it to pick up
