I haven't fitted it yet. It's currently at the body shop being painted, should have it back on Monday if all goes as planned at which point it'll then be installed. I'll update this thread though once it's fitted and let everyone know how it turned out.

I will say this though, it came packaged extremely well and I have nothing but the highest of praise for Andy at VIS Racing, he did a fantastic job helping me out as far as the purchasing/guidance of it all.

Even my paint/body guy stated how impressed he was with the quality of the piece.
How much for paint

how does the inside of the hardtop look like ?, it's hard to tell from that pic, but it doesn't look too bad. Some hardtops look brutal on the interior side.

I'm planning to install my VIS CF hardtop too. I'll take your installation as guidance for me. Because my hardtop was used in my 08 s2k (sold it) in which the hardtop was installed and uninstalled at the dealer. I don't have any manual or part list and I’m not sure if all parts are complete. If post some pics at least for the bracket installation that will be better.

BTW this hardtop was producing a very loud noise because of air leak above the wind shield in my 08 s2k. I hope it will be fine on my 03 s2k and yours.

Let us see how it looks on our cars

Well guys I just wanted to update all of you on the hardtop situation and answer a couple questions I saw asked above.

1) The hardtop arrived and was extremely well packaged direct from ANDY over at VIS, again, I can't vouch enough for this guy as he really did a fantastic job in helping me out and getting this thing to the other side of the country in record timing!

2) Some of you are asking how much I paid for paint/install and all of that. The final total was $325.00 which involved both the painting/install of the top($250.00) as well as the plexi glass window being installed on to the car ($75.00).

3) I noticed that on the drive home from picking up the car from the body shop, the top was squeaking a lot just like a lot of you have mentioned. The weather stripping that was provided for the rear part of the top was, in my personal opinion, quite thin. I felt kinda unsure as to whether or not it would provide significant insulation from the rain so I made a run to Pep Boys and picked up a pack of stronger and wider weather stripping. When I returned home, I started with the process of uninstalling the hardtop which, for any of you who have any concerns, is EXTREMELY easy. After installing the new stripping and placing the top back on the car, I made sure to tighten the bolts as tight as I could get them. When I went for a test drive afterwards, this had corrected all the squeaks that were present when I first picked up the car from the shop. So any of you who are still having squeaks, just try tightening the bolts down as much as you can and it should fix the problem.

4) My body shop guy did mention to me though that the plexi glass window could cause an issue if enough pressure, be it from forceful pushing or that of the air current hitting it hard enough from the windows being down, could result in the window coming loose and flying out. He stated the main issue is because the design of the hardtop itself has a bend to the back end and the plexi glass isn't made with that bend, thus it's being kinda bent in to place against it's own will. Naturally though when he told me this about the window falling out I was quite concerned but he said that they can have a custom piece of glass made for it at about $200.00. In defense of all of you who may be turned off by what I just said, I did a road trip over Thanksgiving down to Florida via I95 and had the window held up just fine even at a steady speed around 80mph. So with that said I do believe that it should definitely be fine with city driving as well as freeway driving as well.

5) On a side note, it rained this evening and I am happy to report that there was absolutely NO LEAKS found as I made a steady look over the interior of the car.

Below are some photos of when the package arrived at the shop, as well as some photos I took of the top installed. If you guys have any more questions or want me to take any other specific photos, just let me know and I'll be more than happy to do so!

I asked him to provide photos of installation, but as he mentioned, he painted/installed the HT for 250 (not at home) and the glass for 75.

Anyways, it looks wonderful!
