Default Wanting new clutch. Avoiding clutch buzz

Guys,

Looking to upgrade the drivetrain through a new AP1 flywheel and slightly more aggresive clutch kit.

Had a Stage 1 Exedy in my RSX which I found was the perfect balance for track work and daily driver by the wife.

Light reading tells me anything besides OEM clutch kit results in clutch buzz.

Can anyone advise if there is a clutch kit preferablly Exedy that is more aggresive than OEM, but avoids clutch buzz?

Regards,
Alex

How aggressive are we talking? If you're not putting down serious power the recommended setup is
  • Lightened Flywheel (Optional)
  • OEM Clutch Disc
  • ACT HD Pressure Plate

No clutch buzz, OEM feel & reliability

^ +OEM bearings and grease.

OEM meaning from a Honda dealer. Not the "OEM" exedy replacement.

The stock clutch is plenty agressive.

Assuming stockish horsepower and installing light weight flywheel on AP2 (e.g. AP1 FW), do you really need the ACT HD pressure plate? Is it worth the additional thrust load on the crank?

I just installed a Act Pp, ACT streetlight flywheel, OEM everything else and I have to say, it's fantastic. The car feels 100% different
