warning about DBA rotors!
Hey Guys,
I got a set of DBA rotors from Tirerack. I though that they would be good for tracking because they have a nice venting systems on the them. They are also slotted but in a way were you get a lot of contact to pad.
Well after three track days hair line cracks started to show up on the outer slot. and one of my rotors cracked. I was running carbotech xp8s on them.
Anyway nice rotor for the street but if you are going to make some track runs stay away from them.
I just picked up some Stoptech slotted rotors. Ill let you guys know how they hold up.
K~
Pics will be up later when I figure out how to do that.

our stock rotor are vented(front at least), slotted doesn't add contact to the pad, it actually has less.
the cracking is very common for aftermarket drilled/slotted disc, what happen most of the time is they are not casted with the hole(unlike brembo's bbk) and the slot, instead they are just machined out of a solid blank which damage the structure integrity of the disk. i cant say for sure about your brand since i do not have the experience nor the engineering spec of it.
again, you dont need anything more than blank disk for the street.
