What can you do to get a good rear end support unlike the weak S diff.

is inlinepro ZX diff kit the only way to get a good rear end?

need your inputs guys.

PS. is the ZX diff a direct swap, like if getting one from the scrap yard will it be a direct swap or does it need custom brackets and mounts?

joeyballs from CSi? Heh, its 2000civicstud here.

I know Comptech has a reinforced diff housing you can use, and Ive also heard of some people swapping in a 300ZX rear end (I think that was the right car).

Contact Puddy...he can build you a tough diff.

top left is stock...top right is Comptech re-inforced...bottom is Puddy strong.

And exactly how strong are Puddy's diffs? How have they been reinforced?

Puddy would be able to tell you better than I. I know his end caps are the stoutest ones currently available. And he can send whatever pieces you like to be cryo'd by a local shop that has a patented process that will make the metal much stronger.

One of his diffs is going in a buddy's turbo set up that is making 507whp on a DynoDynamics.

You do have choices You can buy a used Comptech that will hold up ok, or you can buy an InLinePro kit and sores out a Nissan rear, The rear and the kit is very nice and you will most likely have no issue with it. Or you can go PuddyMod , I have not had one of my housings brake and they are in some high HP cars.
Driver error will cause a failure before anything else. Keep the wheels spinning and not bouncing and your rear will hold fine.
Below is what I offer

We fully cryogenically treat the rear, that is every part is cryo treated that can be.
Fully built and reinforced housing that can hold upwards of 200,000 PSI stock is upwards of 60,000 PSI and our Comptech style is 130,000
New bearings, seals, and hardware are used
Fully de-burred and polished gears
Black phosphate finishing (same process used in firearms )
Solid custom sleeved pinion (no crush collar) we use 10/20 mandrel steel (seamless)
Fresh paint on the housing
Full assembly of rear using precision accuracy to factory tolerances.

The PuddyMod solid steel sleeve is made of 10/20 mandrel steel it is seamless and will not distort or compress. It is turned and machined by hand in several lathes until the proper size and fit is achieved. Each sleeve is made one at a time and is unique to it

S2KPUDDYDAD -
I'm new to the S2000 world, and thinking about some bigger HP. What does the whole mod cost keeping the stock gears?

PS Just seeing something like a harding lathe in the pictures makes me trust the work....
