Default What to do on my AP2?

Ok so I've had my 07 s2k for about a year and a half now, 13k miles on it, and now I want to do some things on it but not sure what.

What do you think I should do?

Cold Air Intake System? K&N? AEM? Injen?

ECU?

Or any other ideas? Let me know please. Also, I like the heated seats idea that I read in a previous post. Is that possible with the AP2? Do I have to change the seats?

I already changed my headunit to a Pioneer with an IPOD Integration, and I love it, but I still have the crappy stock speakers. I'm thinking of just changing the stock speakers, but not getting an amp or sub or anything as the car is pretty small anyways and I think I would be fine just with some better speakers, that way I could actually hear the music while on the freeway with the top down.

Thanks!

When one asks about cold air intakes, some will argue that the stock intake is no better than aftermarket CAI. Some individuals well recommend that you gut your stock airbox, and either attach a "snorkel" to avoid heat soak, or an "Aut cooling plate." If you want to unleash the beautiful sound of your engine, then buy a CAI a popular one here is K&N, or AEM v2. As for ECU tuning, I recommend you get that last after you are doing modifying your car with blot ons in order to get the most out of your bolt ons.

As stated in the other mods question thread -- if you don't know then don't do any. Mods are very subjective. You do the ones that speak to you. If you need ideas there are plenty of threads in this subforum to refer to.

If you're looking for suggestions then at least give people a rough idea of what you're looking for in the end.

Not performance specific, but I second your notion to replace the factory speakers. I threw in a great Pioneer head unit and paired it with Infinity Reference components and haven't looked back since. Hearing music with the top down on the freeway is wonderful.

Just make sure to research the speaker size depth you're interested in installing to identify, in advance, whether or not you need to fashion custom mounting brackets (there isn't much space behind the door panel for the speaker basket to fit). Several speaker sets drop right in with no modification whatsoever. The Infinity Reference 6020cs ones I installed are one such example.

Cheers.

What about for the speakers right behind the seats on the AP2 models?

Not sure about those, but I'll bet the electronics FAQ has more to say about them.

My first inclination, if I were to take the sound system one step further, would be to add an amped sub in the trunk before necessarily putting speakers behind the seats. Speakers behind the seats might be an easier install but that can't be a particularly good place, acoustically speaking, to put speakers.

That's just my speculation, though.

Do you mean speakers by roll bar? If so, from what I've heard from other people it doesn't sound that good and pretty pricey too. I change my door speakers to Polk db component. And installed this behind my seats. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
