Default What is this intake?

Looks like a knockoff to me, but maybe someone else can figure out what it is.

Almost an exact replica of the CAI Injen Intake.

Even the hardware.

Not worth it I suppose? I have no idea if the replicas are made of decent material, even if it is just a tube.

That should perform the same as any CAI for the S.

Great sound and noticeable increase in mid-range torque.

I used to have an Injen CAI. Tubing on that product looks to be the same.

used intakes don't pop up for sale very often here (aem, injen, prm, etc), only the outrageous pwjdm and other whale penis ones ever seem to make it over to the classifieds...

That is an ebay intake, and it is NOT worth $120, you can get them much cheaper brand new off ebay.

A good rule of thumb - "you get what you pay for" Most of the quality aftermarket kits put engineering into tube size/length/airbox/ and filter characteristics to achieve HP gains, which for the S2000 isn't a whole lot anyway. The knockoffs just copy what they did - sort of- and you hope it works out to be a real HP gain.

If you are looking for gains with out shelling out big bucks, get a K&N drop-in filter. OEM engineering with high flow filter gains. IMHO
