Default What mods for an AP2

Just wanted to see what some of the regulars here have for mods to stay naturally aspirated on the AP2 motor.

So far I've heard of NA AP2 motor with 260 rwhp which is pretty amazing considering stock is around 190 rwhp.

The usual mods like any AP1. There is a benefit for the 06+ S2000s when it comes to the ECU though. The ECU can be sent to Hondata for a reflash, which I've seen some guys get some pretty good gains from that.

As for 260whp, I'm pretty sure you'd need a good bump in displacement for that to happen.

There is a whole N/A forum with about 15 stickies at the top.

Are you talking about the guy with LBP about 260rwhp? He was using nitrous. I'm pretty sure there's no way you can reach that high while staying NA without nitrous.

I'm sure there's a way. That's why I mentioned bumping up the displacement(Stroker kit), along with many other things... higher compression, ITBs, etc...

You could hit 260 while staying N/A, but with the amount of money you spend, you could literally double the horsepower by going FI instead.

I should've clarified. I meant there's no way unless you seriously burn a hole in your wallet. I'd go FI route for that amount of $ for sure.

Head to the NA Power forum and look for the thread by LostMotion. He's probably done the most extensive NA build on an AP2.
