Default what suspension should i get?

well im about to buy a s2000 next weekend, and its not dropped. this is my first s2000 but ive had my share of hondas, civics, crx, rhd itrs, itrs, etc. i like to have slammed cars, i was wondering if i can get some input on which coilovers i should get to meet my intentions. money is a issue. i have about 1200 to spend on suspension.

thanks
joel

Well with 1200, you choices might be a little limited, seeing as how all the good coilovers run at least 1600. If you're serious about coilovers, then I say hold off and save a little more. It gives you time to better understand the characteristics of our car and when it's time to buy coilovers, you'll have more money to buy better ones. If you plan to slam the S, take note that your S will not handle at it's best.

what JimiChanga said..save up more money.
does it really gives u better handling JUST putting in coilovers??
all of my frds kept telling me "WOW..my car handles awesome with the new coilover i have" but i dont felt any differents with JUST coilover and no other balance tunning. i mean doesnt a good set of tires, and balance will give u better handling than just lowering ur car?

I have trouble believing you haven't felt any difference with coilovers. Every set I have ever had a part of installing have really stiffened things up. must have gotten a bad set or something. What coilovers are they?

i dunno what they are...they do feel stiffened...but it doesnt feel like is better than stock set up tho..maybe bad tires?? what im trying to ask is JUST coilover without any tunning or corner balance wouldnt increase any handling right?

stiffer doesn't always necessarily mean better
