IMO, if you live in a major metropolitan area such as LA, putting on center caps on your wheels is pretty much handing petty thieves $200 for no reason. I would never run center caps unless I knew I would never be leaving the car unattended.

Therefore, why bother worrying about such a thing = no center caps for me.

I don't have caps... but thats because I can't find the caps I want (Flat type A) in the color that matches my wheels. (Diamond Black TE37s)

But I did however paint the hub area black because I hate the rusty look. I even taped off the nut sticking out of the rear wheels and painted around there black as well.
i got the same exact wheels and same color but anyways i dont have center caps cause i dont like the ones that they sell and they dont any black ones that i want.

Different strokes for different strokes. I agree that leaving them off doesnt look good but that is just my opinion. And if center caps are really that expensive ($200) than i would forget about it too...

I must ask the question, because I am seeing more wheels without center caps. Why would anyone install wheels and not put the center caps on? Also, if you are not going to put the center caps on, why do you leave the rotor rusted so you can see it when you take a close up picture of your new wheels? Someone please help answer, I must be missing something. In my opinion it looks like crap to buy $2,000 wheels and not put center caps on or at least paint the rotors/calipers.
i have them but i don't mind the look without. also, there are plenty of good reasons already covered in here..

-track requires you remove them
-they frequently don't come with the wheels
-they get stolen

anyway, you inspired me... i'm off to paint my rotors. i'll post pics soon.

ALL FINISHED!!

Depends what style wheel and what you're using the car for. In my opinion most one piece race style wheels look terrible with center caps....either that or the only available center caps aren't very good looking.

my simple reason for not having center cap are:
- it cost money
- track requires to have them off
- I painted my axle nuts and center hub matte black
- I like the look, its aggressive

to the OP many people don't run center caps for a reason, so I say "to each its own" or "whatever tickles your pickle." In other words "who cares" go and spend your energy to something more constructive.
