Default Why no intakes for '08 models?!?!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't been successful at finding the answer using the search.

I just bought a used '08 S2000, and want to get an aftermarket intake. However, I can't find any that are compatible with the '08 model. I really wanted the AEM V2, but they don't seem to work with the DBW models. Fujita offers a CAI that goes up to '07, but not '08+. When I went to K&N's website, they show an FIPK for the '08 with a different part number than what it shows for the '07, but the eBay vendors say that it is only good for the '06-'07.

Do any of you '08+ owners have some suggestions? After having several bolt-ons on my '02 S2000, I know that there really aren't significant gains from an intake, so I really just want the sound that the aftermarket intakes provide.

06-07 FIPK has worked prefectly fine on MY08 for over a year now. Any intake 06+ should be compatible. Typically they do not list 08 either because either 1.) they didn't update their listing or 2.) regardless of the fact nothing has changed since 06 (intake wise), they do not list it if they have not installed it on an 08 yet

That's good to know, but what about the long tube CAI's, like the Fujita that says it is good for the '06-'07 only?

I would bet any intake can work on MY08. All you need to do is plug the bung for the air sensor hose and drill a hole for the sensor on the MY06+.

Even Fujita's website says that they have a CAI for the '00-'05, and another CAI for the '06-'07. There are many other CAI's on that page for 2008 models of other cars.

If I could simply modify an AEM V2, then I'd be all over it! However, it really seems unlikely that AEM wouldn't have just done the small modification themselves so that they could sell more units.

Most manufacturers just haven't updated their websites more than likely...

AEM will have an application for the 06+DBW s2000 released shortly. AEM used my car to prototype and make a new intake for our specific application
