Default Will a HFC get rid of drone?

Hey all.

I have a GReddy TI-C single cat back exhaust with my stock cat punched out. It sounds good at high rev's but anything before that it drones like hell.

Will a high flow cat get rid of the drone?

Thanks.

Ya a test pipe will pass the resonance noise cleanly through, it will still be loud as shit but it will be behind you instead of under you.

I didn't think there would be much difference between a punched out stock cat and test pipe? They are essentially the same thing.

Having said that, I do have an Invidia test pipe sitting around some where that I bought and never put on.

It will get rid of some. I switched from a test pipe to a HFC and the sound didnt change much. A HFC sounds more like a test pipe than an OEM cat.

It probably won't get rid of the drone; just change its characteristics, generally for the better.

Thanks for the info.

I'm reluctant to run a test pipe as the fine for having one over here is very hefty.
