Default windshield window repair?

Hello, my boyfriend owns a 2001 s2k and recently he was driving behind a truck that flung a rock and caused a spider crack in his windshield window. Since the holidays are coming up I figured as one of his gifts why not get him it repaired. However, I have absolutely no knowledge of s2k's or how to get the windshield window repaired or where to buy the parts and was wondering if anyone can help me out?

Research for window replacement shops in your area. Yelp is a good start.

They usually come to your house and do the repair on-site.

They could either fill it in with that glue crap or if it is bad enough you might as well replace the whole windshield. A full replacement + labor will only be about $210

i know he has full coverage with geico.. but when it happened he growned and said there goes $200... so I don't think his insurance will take care of it.. plus a couple months we were t-boned in his car and his insurance just got that fixed so he might not want to go through insurance for this.

Insurance will still have him pay his deductible to cover the repair. If his deductible is low enough, some glass places can work it where he pays nothing (I have a place here that will take care of it all for you if your deductible is less than $250).

Your best bet is to find a local glass repair place and see what they can offer.

Good luck!
