flashpro... its a mod that will continue to give you gains with everything you add to the car...

engine management should be the first mod anyone does to their car imo
this is true ! man you guys have me thinking lol thanks for your opinion =)

does any one know what the total is for putting gears in our car? like a ball park price now that i know we can use kia parts?

talk to puddy. i think the 4.77s are very cheap as far as the gears go themselves. i think they are around 300-375 for the set of gears then install and everything i think your looking around 500-600. dont hold me to that. lol

I wouldnt put 4.77's in an ap2, that would just be to much imo. 5.56's would be the max I would go.

Since the tranny gearing is different, I heard that an ap1 with 4.77's is about the same as an ap2 with 5.56's.

I would do the flashpro if I had your car.

PLM Header w/ FlashPro

Unless your literally racing light to light all the time, the AP2 is geared just fine... another 20whp and lower Vtec engagement is all our little car needs to spice things up! Get gears later if you must... my .02

While my car was totally back to stock, I spent a LOT of time testing each of my bolt-ons individually and in all combinations with various tunes (canned tunes and custom tunes). What I found is that the stock catalytic converter is the biggest "cock block" in the whole drivetrain. If you install a test pipe, the best Hondata calibration will be the Toda calibration. It really makes a huge difference. However, if you load the Toda calibration with the stock cat in place, it hits a brick wall at 4500 RPMs.

I would love to get my hands on an HFC to do this same test. Would you please send me some WOT datalogs once you install the HFC?

i heard doing a flash pro w/toda tune will not be as effective with stock headers i could be wrong =/

but this sounds like a good option as well =) thanks
This was posted by Gernby in a thread under "hondata tunes", he took off all his parts and went through multiple combinations to test what was actually effective read what his results are below there is more within the thread under the hondata sub forum.

I bought a Flashpro, asm header and an asm exhaust. Excellent mod choices, after loading the Toda tune the car felt completely new, more torque and just more fun to drive all around.
