There was a thread were someone put a rubber washer (like from your garden hose) on the shifter to fix the shift boot from falling down. I put it on and now my shift boot sits flush with my shift knob.

or get the short shifter and the boot will never fall down

The red/black theme is coming together nicely. Performance wise, below 5,000RPM is very sluggish. However, when staying in VTEC, I usually have to short shift to keep from running into the person in front of me. From a 40mph roll in 2nd gear, I've pulled on a supercharged C5 and a Porsche 911. From a dig, very tricky to launch on street tires. Once you get up into the powerband where the cams really kick in, you tend to spin tires quite a bit. I would recommend milder cams unless you have a small nitrous kit or a supercharger to get more low end power. |
I'd be interested in seeing before/after dynos for those Toda SpecB cams. Do you have anything like that? BTW... you don't mention aftermarket pistons. I thought Toda said pistons (with deeper valve reliefs) were required for their SpecB & SpecC cams.

Performance: * Comptech Header * Comptech Exhaust * Comptech High Flow Cat *------ Comptech Titanium STB (not installed anymore SC clearance issues :( ) *------ Comptech Red Original STB (not installed anymore SC clearance issues :( ) (Yes, I still have both - they are just expensive towel racks) * Comptech Reinforced Diff - Must Have if you plan on making more HP or install gears.
