Default 2.3L?

hey, i was wondering if you guys could help answer some questions for me. I was wondering if i wanted my F22c motor to have 2.3L of displacement how would i go about doing it? bore or stroke adjustments. Which would yeild the best gains and best power distribution across the power band. I am also curious as to if i would need a stand alone ecu or if the stock computer would be able to compensate for a 100cc increase. Also what are the pros and cons to boring out he motor and stroking it.

hmm, not sure what happens when you bore to 88 or 89. i dont think you hit 2.3L. you can stroke though to 2.4 with k24 crank. that'd be nice.

me personally i wouldnt want to bore this block. i want as thick a wall as possible. i would stroke over boring.

You can achieve just about 2.3L with boring to 89mm. Boring is significantly more expensive than stroking since you have to sleeve the block. If you are willing or able to do head work, boring is without a doubt the way to go as the 2.2L is bore constrained in terms of airflow. Even without head work, the advantage of boring is that you won't lose any RPMs.

Without any doubt you will need a standalone. You shouldn't even think about increasing displacement until you have already acquired tuning capability.

So is the 2.4L stroker a neasy method? Or will it cost a ton and be a pain in the ass and take forever and be unreliable as well?
Do the f20 rods and pistons work with the k24 crank? What else is needed?
How much money is needed for those that have done it or are familiar with it.

It's gonna cost you $4k-$6k depending how much work you are able to do yourself.

Your talking about with a stroker or what? Definitely NOT the first mod to do for a stock or near stock S2K.
