AEM Water/Meth Injection on N/A engine
Ok so I have been reading up on meth injection for a while now and most setups/writeups have been on FI setups.
Currently I am all motor, with bolts-ons, but I am planning on going FI. I have the manifold and intercooler at the moment (i am slowly purchasing everything). I want to get meth injection and was planning on purchasing it next and just putting it on the car to help everything run cooler but wanted some opinions. Is it worth getting and installing on a N/A car with bolt-ons? or should I wait to get it and only run it when I am turbo'd? THANKS |
not gonna do anything on a non-forced induction motor.

no change in intake temp? no change in head temp? i figured either way it would reduce heat temp of the engine thus making it run more efficient?
correct me please if I am wrong... |
I posted to find more info about this a little while ago...read here...Water/Meth For NA

I wouldn't recommend it though unless you're running really high compression(which is the only reason I was looking into it), and want to get all the power out of the motor you can, and also help the motor run safer and cleaner. |
thanks guys. I am going to just purchase the setup and sit on it for a while.
I guess I will just install the aluminum radiator, fan switch, thermostat and hose kit for now |
Well if your going forced induction them in sure your going to want bigger jets for the water/meth injection. That being said, if you order your kit based on boost then your going to be putting way too much water/meth into your engine lol and loose power.

dtmcnamara, if you end up doing this i'd love to see it since I'm thinking of building an eventual NA setup and temps are a large part of my research. of course, id love to see your car in person sometime anyways.

I was just reading HvRRZ Link, sorry to go off topic but:-
Does higher octane have any benefits with stock compression and no-tune ?? with a tune you can benefit from it coz you can add more timing.. e.g. I/h/e+93 octane or I/h/e+98 octane = same outcome ?? |
