Default header options

im debating on a t1r header or a toda header. which design is better? i know the toda has dyno proven number but also the t1r looks like a better design and large piping thourghout. t1r is 2mm larger on primary compared to the toda, 5mm over 2ndary and 5mm over collector. im wondering would i see more power pairing this with a t1r 70mm v3 single. thanks. opinions welcomed

Toda headers stick down and hit things.

Larger primaries are not necessarily better.

You must maintain the exhaust gas speed.

Be wise and just keep the factory header. You can always pull the heat shield off to look at it. Spend the money on something more practical like high performance drivers education.

I half agree. agood header will get some good gains, but a poor one will only be marginal at best. I would rather see you save for a great header versus shell out 600-700 on something used/new that is just "ok"

Depends on cams, intake manifold, headwork and tune.

I have a brand new Rick's header you can buy. These are comparable to the Toda's I believe, not sure. PM me if interested.

If you want a decent header that is cheap and dyno proven, try out the Private Label. Last I checked, the owners were loving it.

If not, keep your eye on the Fast Forward and L-con headers. Both designs are in production stages and still being refined to produce larger gains.
