Default ITBs

Alright, I just want to know everyone's opinion on ITBs. I've been thinking about putting them on my ap1 but I what to get a better idea of what I would be getting into and the longevity of the engine if I put them on.

Try the naturally aspirated section. Youll get a better answer there

ITB's require a standalone ECU and an expensive tune by an experienced tuner. If you install an air filter box, you'll lose some of the performance benefit, but the engine will last longer. They are very loud at anything more than the lightest throttle, but the throttle response is instantaneous. In short, ITB's aren't a good choice for a daily driven street car.

For what i have seen, the money youll invest into ITBs will be as much as going FI but will give you half the results.
There are some die hard NA fans out there and if ITBs are the direction you want to go than that's awesome but i would do as much research and studying as you can before you do anything.

You will also most likely need a couple re-tunes throughout the year. ITBs don't like severe weather changes and sometimes screws with the tune. At least from what I have heard...

Hmm good input. Guess I heard differently from someone that was running only a piggy-back or something....I can't remember. Or you just have a really good tuner that knows a good deal about them . What are you tuned on?

I figured. Pretty sure the guy that had problems with the tuning was running a EMU a while back
