Default My first dyno

Well i decided to Dyno my POS. the dyno was a Dynojet and the results are SAE corrected. I was praying to break 200 and i did by a hair. Im pretty pleased but i later discovered my MAP sensor was causing my car to hesitate under load (a problem ive had for a while). tapped it, cleaned out the channel in the IM and now it runs strong but of course i fixed it AFTER the dyno o well

My mods

K&N filter
PLM Header
70MM Invidia Test Pipe
Greddy Spectrum Elite 70mm Single exhaust
MY02 ECU
motor has 99k miles

I am happy with these results considering they are SAE readings. im defintely looking foward to my next mods and a tune. hoping to break 215-225 by the end of summer

def. throw in a good tune. i made 197whp on a dynojet and w/ a greddy tune i made 218. but that's not where i made the most gain, midrange was where it's at. 30whp+ alone in the midrange. lol

I really wanted to tune my crapper N/A, but I'm trying to put the supercharger on before June 4th. But if I can't save enough money to get that installed and tuned on Haltech PS500, I will tune it N/A and just supercharge in summer.

Your numbers seem about right without a tune for an ap1....what are you gonna tune with? Not sure if you mentioned or not..

i was thinking maybe the new EMS4 when it comes out but i may just cheap out and get a VAFCII. I know its not ideal but for my set up and the money its not a bad option, i just know i wont see bigger gains. i really would like midrange beefed up and top end bumper up to 215. those are my modest goals.

Personally man I would skip the VAFC and just get something that will help you more down the road. Spending an extra $300 more or so....The Haltech units aren't that crazily expensive for a standalone, and you could always get a EMU also. Only problem is finding someone to tune it EMU. You are on the east coast right? I know a couple of shops that can do EMU if you ended up doing that.

Are you planning on staying N/A or one day going F/I?

yea im over in sova. i plan on staying NA. if anything i'd get a 50 shot but thats a plan for next year. the only immediate tuners in my area are for VAFC and AEM. I wouldnt mind EMU but the only tuner around here that kinda of messes with it is a back yard tuner. id feel better if it was tuned at a reputable shop wth a dyno.

50 shot would be naaaasty hah. Guy a Ptuning that is good with EMU. Innovative Motorworks (Chelsie, PA) also specializes in Honda/Acura. Everyone that works there has a civic or something with 500whp.

I'm going there for supercharger install/tune. They quoted me $600

But yea, if you are planning on doing more severe stuff later on (50 shot) you might as well just save and wait to get a standalone or something, get the car to its full potential....
