'06 Civic Si
I'm contemplating getting a new Si as my 'practical' daily driver, and I was wondering if anyone here has had the chance of trying out an advanced copy. I know this has nothing to do with either racing and/or competition, except for the fact that this is the pool of people I'd value feedback from.

I saw one at Cal Speedway in the Honda booth during Indy car qualifying a few weeks ago... very sweet little car.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't let me take it out on the track for a test drive.

We went to see it at the dealer and came away very disapointed due to the sharp dropoff of the hood coupled with the high dash. Even with my head firmly implanted in the sunroof I couldn't get a sense of the hood, not to mention the corners.
It may drive very well but that one problem pointed us more to an RSX...

I liked it enough to order one. It's 13.6:1 EPS steering ratio makes it feel like it has quicker reflexes than the S2000. It's got some serious engineering and Hardware. It just feels very flickable and it should make a very good daily driver/autocross car. I love my S too much to race it. I forgot to mention that the sounds it made are incredible for a factory tuned car. If you're wondering I did four laps at the DFW 2006 Civic Ride and drive. The car is an amazing piece for $20K.
