Hi, bought a beater AP1 (2001) 7 months ago, and been lurking on this forum while the car was being prep'd for track duty.

Yesterday, Saturday 04/11/2015, finally took the car out for a shakedown at Buttonwillow and had a blast.

You need to add that fifth video to the other 4 videos and then add a 6th camera, and then it will be perfect.

 

Congrats on the new toy! I'm doing something similar, I bought a somewhat beat up 2000 to build into a HPDE toy, but life has been busy so it's been a slow process.

 

Hah, I probably would have, except the 5th video came into my possession kind of late ('twas a buddy's cam).

May be even 7th cam, somewhere on the front bumper.

Re: slow process, yep, same for me, but part of it was due to being busy, but other part was due to (per comment with King Tut) having trusted the car with a shop with no-talent and juvenile mindset.

Anyhow, this car was to be a track/HPDE toy, but now, I think I'm gonna use it also for dailying and other duties. It's enjoyable zipping around town in this car with the top down & all.
