Default 1st track day tip

I will be doing my 1st track day in 2 weeks. My car is a bone stock 2007 with different tires front & rear. Any tips? I've already searched around but any more tips would be great!

First thing you should do is have fun. The second thing is before the event you should make sure you have plenty of brake pad and tire life left and bleed the brakes with some high temp fluid.

New pads and fluid for safety. Also, a cooler of drinks and a folding chair for the downtime in between sessions. Pop your hood and don't use your parking brake right after a run. Have fun!

this is it

Make sure your tire life is good and slap some new pads on.
Bleed the clutch fluid and brake fluid with Castrol SRF.

I have Continental DW in front and DWS06 in the rear. I was thinking about getting a set of ap1 wheels with new tires. What kind of pads do you recommend? I was thinking Hawk HP+

DTC 30/60s, or the carbotech XP series. In general street pads do not hold up in the rear, and they cause inconsistent pedal feel in the front when they get hot.

I run the Hawk HP+ on my car and have zero complaints as a new track addict.
