I was curious if anyone knew whether or not the 2002 model S2000 had different alignment settings than the previous year models. I am interested in getting the UK alignment version done to my S2000. Thanks in advance.

 

I am running 1.5 degrees negative camber in both front and rear with a little toe OUT in the front and a little toe IN in the rear.

It is very neutral. I do not have near the understeer many of the guys with earlier models complain of. I still have some understeer, but it is controllable.

Toe OUT in the front is supposed to make it turn in quicker. I can't swear to that. As a matter of fact when I redo my alignment I will go with 0 toe just to see the difference.

Toe IN in the rear is really just so that you don't have any toe OUT under hard braking. When the bushings deflect your rear tire settings tends to swing out. Toe OUT on the rear will make for sudden, uncontrollable spins when you reach the limits. I know this is true from experimentation. Even when you know it is going to happen the best you can hope for is not to spin all the way, but you still lose a lot of valuable time.

I am going to have my alignment redone soon and I will be going to:

2 degrees negative in front with 0 toe

1.7 negative in rear with 1/16 toe IN.

My thoughts are that this will plant the front more firmly and increase my handling limits by a small amount overall.
