Default 215 and 255 combination.

Hey Guys,

I have two track events coming up this weekend and notice my rear tires are wearing thin. I was think of going 255 in the back. My front two tires were just replace so they are pretty new. (buttonwillow one time.)

Has anyone done a 215 and 255 combo before. If so any feed back. Will this combo create massive understeer. If so should I just dish out the money for a 225 and 255 set of reo1 rs.

Thanks

K~

I run 225/50/16 all around on RE01Rs and love them...i find the 225 in the front is far far better for turn in and stability.

im on pss9

I saw a thread before were the OP was deciding between 225 and 235 while having 255 on the rear, 215 was out of question in that thread, but according to s2kmugen, it seems the 215 setup will work, I am really getting confused now, I like to see more opinions posted as well as I will purchase the tires soon.

^ lots of different setups "work" (i.e., the car will roll), some are just better than others.

The stock RE050 215's are only 6.7 inches wide. The 215 Falken 615 and the RE01R's are 8 inches wide. I've had both on my car and both work just fine with 255's of the same tire in the rear. You get less understeer with these aftermarket tires.

How do you compare the 255 rt615 to the 255 re050?
did u have any rubbing problems if the car not lowered with the 225 up front?
