Default 225/255 to 255 square

Do you feel it was worth the money you spent on the wheels to run it?
Did you feel faster immediately?? speaking on casual autox only, no track...as of yet. I understand I will need a front sway bar to get the full benefit of the square set up.....just having a hard time justifying the thousand bucks on some aftermarket rims when technically there is nothing wrong with the stock wheels and I might get more out of upgrading my lower end coilovers.

With my '05 AP2, I ran a 225/255 RE01-R setup on OEM wheels. It felt properly balanced on my mild A-Stock (now B-Stock) setup. This was my street setup, but I ran a few local auto-x events and two Tail of the Dragon events as well. The 255/255 on 17x9 +60mm wheels feels much better when properly balanced with suspension adjustments and/or mods. If you only do casual auto-x, save your money and go with a 225/255 setup. You will be competitive depending on your driving ability. Depending on your spring rates with your low grade coilovers, you may or may not need a massive front sway bar. I run a 255/255 on 17x9+60mm TRMs setup on my AP1 as a daily driver on a stock CR suspension (springs and sways), my custom alignment (posted on here many times) and TC Klines. It can be tail happy if you toss it with aggression. With a larger front bar and/or smaller rear bar, it would be perfect for street and mild auto-x.

it's not cheap to do and if you're not serious about auto-x/track, i wouldn't spend the money.

- new wheels
- new tires
- new front sway bar
- new alignment
- maybe fender rolling depending on wheel offset
- maybe big rear wing

why not just get another set of stock wheels to put the 8.5's up front?

the question was more if the non stagger was worth the mod.

sourcing another set of stock wheels and getting the hub bored to fit the front is going to cost just as much as a cheap set of 17x9 +60ish anyways....
