We'll be there in a 1986 Prelude Si - or what's left of it from the October race.

Hey Derek,

Were you in the red prelude? I was in the orange 22 CRX in July and painted it neon green for the October event. The car is soooo done! I think we're going to pass on December but do next year for sure

I might have the ultimate ringer for one of these...

When my neighbor passed away, his son gave me his 1986 944 Turbo that had been sitting in the driveway rusting for 10 years (without running). No one wanted it, so i said I'd take it. I spent about $1000 getting it running, but I could easily sell the Saratoga sunroof for much more than $500.

The only thing I'd worry about is rule 1.4:
"1.4: Claiming Race: At the end of the competition, organizer may elect to purchase any vehicle from its owner(s) for $500. In other words, don't spend a lot on a cheater

Yeah, you've got to be prepared to lose your ride possibly at anytime. They can crush it or buy it from you. Luckily, Jay and the staff let you take out your racing seat, harness & misc stuff that can easily be taken off.

There was a 944 there both times at Altimont this year. I'm sure your 944 will do just fine. Be creative with the body work, paint and team name, cause Jay says that's what this race is all about...fun!
