Default 245's all around?

So I got a great deal on some slightly used A3S04's. Problem is they are 245-45-16 all around. I hear this would be fine if I had a sway bar...but I don't.

I have an autox sunday. Should I run these or am I going to oversteer like a motherfcuker? Daily driver tires I'm running now are the Hankook RS2's (205F, 245R). Should I just run these instead?

Also, a local guy is selling some rear V700's in 275/45/16. Just curious - what would happen if I ran the A3S04's in front and the V700's in back? Or for that matter, my hankooks up front and the Hoosiers in back?

(yes, I know these are weird/dumb questions).

Thanks for the help.

Hey Pat. If you're talking about my tires, they are 265's in the back. No big deal, but just so you know.

I really want to move these, so PM me if you're interested and we can work out some kind of deal. I'll send you pics if you want later.

Shaolin - You don't find that running 255's all around causes oversteer? Do you have a front sway bar?

Mike - yeah, I was talking about your tires . While I don't really need the tires now, I think it's a real good deal. I'll pm you when I come to a decision. BTW - send me some pics of your car with the hardtop if you got any

I run Hoosiers with 225 front 245 rear and a large swaybar set full stiff. On fast courses I still have to be aware of oversteer. I would not run the 245 all around combo without the big swaybar. The guys that I have talked to that run the 245s on all four also have custom valved high end shocks.

I also would not run a mismatched set. Especially street tires front and r-compounds rear. It will certainly not oversteer! (Probably won't steer at all.)

I think your best bet is to run the Hankooks until you can find some 225 Hoosiers for the front.

Conedodger - so, do you recommend 225's in the front or 205's since I don't have a sway bar.

I would try it out just for fun. It'll be good practice in car control.
