Default Adding a trailer hitch to S2000

I just got race tires for my s2k and I need a trailer to tow them to the event (found out that 3 tires in the passenger seat isn't too safe, only 1 can fit in the trunk).

So I'm planning on buying a trailer from Harbor freight. But I need to attach the ball hitch to the s2k and w/ duel exhaust, I'm not suer if it can be done. Does anyone already have one for their s2k? I'd like the kind with the "L" shaped hitch so it can be hidden when not in use. Any ideas? Please email me asap warren_warren@msn.com Thanks.

Two of us down here in Florida just installed Da'Lon hitches on our cars and bult up trailers based on the Northern Tools 40"x48" trailer kit. The receiver stays bolted up to the car (adds about 18 pounds) and is rather subtle by itself. You add the removable draw bar and ball for use with the trailer.

One tip - if your kit comes with 8" wheels, I recommend that you upgrade to 12". That yields less wear and tear on the bearings. In the initial test runs to local autocross events, the trailers work very well. I'll be dragging mine up to Atlanta next weekend for it's first real shakedown.

I had to look. I thought somebody was trying to put on a hitch for a 5th wheel or something.

I thought if you put a hitch on the S2000 you would void the warranty?? It states that in the manual. Just wondering if anyone was still in warranty and had to get repairs, what Honda would do?

I would think it is the same as my VW. The dealer was unable to prove that the radiator blew due to racing and they were right. It blew coming home from a race. The radiator was replaced under warranty.
If Honda can prove to me that any problem was caused by the hitch then I will pay for the work. The hitch is a good way to carry a bike too, I guess it is one more thing to go over with the dealer when I take delivery.

About the Northern Tool trailer. I have one of those too. I towed it behind my SHO from Chicago to the Mississippi Tour at 70mph with no problems. I highly recommend the 12" tires and put the race tires toward the front of the trailer to add tongue weight for better stability. A fellow racer speed tested his in excess of 100mph (camaro drivers

Happy trailering!
