Default Adjustment on Comptech Sways

This comes as a very stupid question, but can the bar's adjustment bolt be moved while the car is on the ground or do you have to go through the same procedure as the sways with their holes near the endlinks?

Someone asked me if I can simply unbolt the adjustment pin (generation 2 bar) and move it over? While I have no reason to move it from it's current position (#3), I would normally remove the wheels and raise the car, load both sides under the A-arms then make the adjustment.

You need to remove any preload on the bar for the bolt to move freely, so need to disconnect one endlink with the front raised. Even then it's tight to remove.

I was able to move the pin with the car on jack stands and without removing wheels or endlinks. I used a screwdriver in another hole to keep the inner and outer bar lined up. It was a pain in the butt to back that pin out. You may want to put the hex head up so that you can tap it out. If you go to full stiff be careful of the radiator hose, it's really a tight fit on hole 5.

I found it's well worth the extra time to disconnect an end-link. It's much easier to back the pin out with an end-link detached.
