Default alignment question

well i had my car aligned on a hunter machine today. the tech wasn't really familiar with the s2000. took him approx 1 hr to get to the specs i wanted. i gave him a variation of the uk alignmeent specs. main problem was that he could not get the caster to match up. he said the lowest the front left caster would go was 6 deg, and the highest the front right caster would go was 4.5 deg. my car drives pretty straight, except on heavy acceleration car would pull to the right. do you r&c guru's foresee any problems with me tracking my car like this? i have a track date this saturday, & i want some input whether or not to have the car re-aligned at an s2000 specialist. thanks for your input.

btw specs are
ft lt camber -1.5 ft rt camber -1.5
ft lt toe -0.01 ft rt toe 0.01
ft lt caster 6.0 deg (min) ft rt caster 4.0 deg (max)

rr lt camber -2.0 rr rt camber -1.8
rr lt toe 0.10 rr lt toe 0.10

That's screwed up. Check for damage to the suspension or the tech's brain.

And yes, I would get it checked somewhere else before going to the track.

The fact that he wasn't familiar with the S2000 is a big problem, as I found out many times years ago. Go to someone who knows how to align an S2000 (ask how many they've done to requested non-spec specs).

interesting idea.... i did have an encounter with a 6 inch curb before, however darin nishimura, a well known alignment specialist in the so cal area did not mention anything about that when he previously aligned my car. i'll definitely go re-align my car with someone more familiar with the platform. appreciate all your responses. hopefully its not a broken lower control arm

Your specs look funny. Did you ask him to go to the lowest pssible on the left and highest on the right? Why do you have (Min)/(Max)?

Also, do you have toe in on the left and toe out on the right?

Is that toe out in the rear?!?!

Good points. It certainly better be toe in for the rear, but I assume positive must mean "in".

It's better to be .01 toe in for the front than .01 toe out. I always spec "zero, but err to the side of toe in". That being said, .01 may be meaningless because the measurement error is probably bigger than that.

per the tech, the lowest they could go on the left caster was 6 deg and the highest on the right caster was 4.0

front left has 0.01 toe OUT, front right has 0.01 toe IN
rear left and rear right have 0.10 toe IN.

i think measurements are in mm or whatever measurements hunter machines use.
