Default alignment specs for autocross and track

hi, i've been autocrossing for 3 years (2 years in the s2k) and i'm ready to hit the track for the first time. the car is not a daily driver but i put about 5-6k miles on the car a year.

i'm looking at doing 15+ autox and maybe 5+ track days next year.
i'm looking for an alignment specs that would be decent for both type of events, i know i can't get the best of both world.

my current suspension mods:

KW V3
Gendron FSB (solid and hollow center, will probably just use the solid)
Buddy Club P1 17x9 +63 with used Nitto NT-O1 255 all around
APR GT-2 wing for s2k
not sure what brake pads to use yet (needs recommendation also)

here's what i'm thinking of using.

front camber: -2.5
front toe: 0
front caster: max (even on both side)

rear camber: -2.5
rear toe: 1/4" total

i have used Nitto NT-O1 mounted on the wheels now but i haven't driven on them yet, so i'm not sure how i will like them. i'll probably go with something a little more sticky next year to be more competitive in local autox events, been using Kumho V710.

let me know what you think, thanks.

I don't think I'd change anything except the tires will like more front camber.

Your alignment will depend on the track you will be racing at. If I'm at a track with a lot of tight turns, I tend to go with a lot of camber in the rear and front as well as some toe out in the rear. If I'm on a fast track, then I'll back off in the front and a little less toe in the rear. Just be aware that the stiffness of your suspension and tire choice will also determine your camber as well. If you don't have the sticky tire that will compress your suspension and heat your tire up evenly then too much camber might end up giving you less grip..

Anyways, I hope I helped. Looks like you are at a good starting place. Just play around with your settings and everything else. Also, buy a 3 year alignment package from National Tire and Battery. You can align your car many times and they can't say anything.. Ha ha, I'm that guy..

Good luck..

I only frequent 1 or 2 different tracks a year and I get one alignment at the beginning of the year.

Yes. My alignment at Summit Point was different than when I raced at Nashville this past year. I'm trying for a new suspension set up next year so it'll be back to the drawing board again.
