Alignment specs for lowered S2K
I just purchase some KG/MM DR racing springs for my car and i would like to do an alignment as well... can anysome suggest me some alignment specs?? ( camber, toe in/out) ?? thx..
I really have no idea what to suggest here so bear that in mind...
The problem with suggesting an alignment is that you need to know what the suspension does with the camber/toe/caster changes throughout its range of movement. Lowering the car will put you in a different part of those curves compared to stock. What's left over in the compression direction? How often will you even use the rebound direction and how far will it go? What are you trying to tune for - track or street (tire wear, basically)?
I'd go to a competent road racing shop and discuss what you've done and what you need. Perhaps the folks you purchased the springs from have starting point suggestions. I've recently read (I have no idea if it's accurate) that lowering an S2K has problems due to an aggressive toe or camber curve that causes MORE rear twitchyness so that would need to be calibrated in - or modified.
Good luck...
