Sounds like the Japanese version of "canyon carving", or autocrossing on roads with traffic.

Touge (峠, tōge?) is a Japanese word literally meaning "pass." It refers to a mountain pass or any of the narrow, winding roads that can be found in and around the mountains of Japan and other geographically similar areas.

its basicly driving spirited on tight mountain roads... people do it a lot in Europe as well... similar to canyon driving, but tighter roads... non-sanctioned version of hill climbs and descents...

some idiots will call anything retarded just cause theyre not doing it...

Or ... maybe they are not doing it because it is stupid.

Or maybe there are just not that type of tight mountain roads in the U.S

Not as many and not as tight as those in japan anyways.

There are plenty of prime toogay roads in the bay area and california in general. All have people that live on them. Fancy pulling out of your driveway some night and being hit by one of those ####tards.

I'll "toogay" anyone any day on a race track. Hell I do it all the time, but we call it racing and it lasts more than 1 lap. They even have sanctioned hillclimbs where the road is closed so you don't have to risk hitting someone who isn't participating.

I think a lot of things are retarded and I don't have to do them to know that.
