Anyone running this kind of setup?
I was on the track the other day and the S2000 that impressed me the most had stock standard suspension but with these settings:
-------------------------------------------
FRONT: Caster left +5.00 right +5.05
Camber left -2.00 right -2.08
Toe left + 1 right +1
REAR: Camber left -1.14 right -1.28
Toe left +0.5 right +0.5
-------------------------------------------
Anyone running this kind of setup? If so, how do you find it? Anything noticable compared to the 'standard' settings? Also, I'm thinking about putting this 'setup' on my car for the road use and am wondering how the tyres hold up with this?
I'd be greatfull to hear from anyone know know about this kind of stuff or who is running something similar.

David,
I'll bite - if the figures that you wrote down are correct then he's not running a stock S2000. I think you have the front and rear reversed. It's not possible to get that much camber in the front.

Hi Etgar,
Regarding the S2000 in question, there's nothing replaced/changed in it. Just the 'settings' are different ... I ment to say that "all OME equipment, just the settigns are different".
I have noticed that all the setting posted here are running more negative camber at the back than at the front ... though, these are the numbers that were sent to me by the driver. I will verify to see if he wrote them down 'backwards'.
btw, what are the 'default' settings for the suspension when you buy the car?

David,
I'm not sure what the 'factory' settings are - but you should be able to find out from any dealership ( or any alignment shop with a newer alignment machine).
The reason that you see the reverse is that the front camber max's out at ~-1.5 - ~-1.6 in the front stock, while the back will go to ~-3.0.

etgar, I dont think you're going to find that the "max" alignment ranges are going to be completely universal for all S2000. There's going to be a bit a variance from car to car. Indeed, my car's front camber did not max out at -1.6... but I'm also not able to get -3.0 at the rear.

I agree with that - though I should have said that with the drivers weight in the car one side is going to max out before the other - both front and back - though that does depend on the drivers weight. I think one side of my fronts is ~-1.7 with me out of the car.
Are you able to get close to -2.0 in the front on your car?

hmmm, thanks for the replys guys ... what you say makes sence. I can't vouch for the 'numbers' but I did go for a ride (on the track) in the car with that setup (or so I'm told) - that car handled beutifully. Had excellent turn in while the back was not trying to overtake the front. Also, it was still very adjustable on (or over) the limit. It was also stable on the straight and under brakes (from 215km/h) ... or so it felt from the passanger seat.
So, I'd like to have my car set like 'that' and these are the numbers that the guys sent me ... I just sent him an e-mail to see if he can confirm them.
btw, What 'setups' are you guys running on your car (and what do you use the car for)?

Front: -1.5 deg camber, +6 deg Caster, 1/16" Toe out
Rear: -2.5 deg Camber, 1/2" toe-in.
My guess is that you just messed up the signs (+/-) for your friend's car. He is probably running toe-out in front and toe-in in the rear. So he's running 3/8" toe-out in front (which is a lot, but could work), and 3/16" toe-in in the rear (which is less than us, but also could work).

These are the settings that I got confirmed again. I'm checking up on the 'toe' to see whether it's 'toe in' or 'toe out' ... though, those are the numbers I'm getting sent to me. I can't explain why they are so different from what you're running.
