Default Anyone used Ferodo DS2500 pads?

Hey, I've been recommended these over the HP+ pads and am considering either these or Axxis ultimates (for $80 less or so). Anyone had experience with the Ferodos? I'm still not sure if I'll be on street tires or a mild R compound (RA1/Advan a048).

I've used them. They're really not significantly different from a street pad on the track.

Better option that Axxis Ultimates or stock pads in people's opinion? I'd love to use stock pads because they're so cheap, but I can't imagine they would stand up.

For what purpose? If it's a HPDE, then get real racing pads. If it's an autocross, these will be fine. Better to have 2 specialized pads (track, street) than one all-purpose (i.e. does neither well) pad.

It is for an HPDE. I've heard of people running into problems swapping pads on the same set of rotors though. Maybe it isn't as big of an issue as people make it out to be...

Not a big problem, usually. That being said, I swap rotors. Among other reasons, it keeps my street rotors in good shape.

Depends on how hard you are on your brakes/how fast you are. If you're running a lower run group, they'll be ok for you. But if you're fast enough to be using pukka rubber you should be running pukka pads, too.

Axxis suck, imho, btw.

Cobalts get my vote for the best pad I've ever ran on any car and they sell 'em in the go fast lab....

I won't be that fast, it's one of my first events. The best rubber I'll have is something like the RA1, but could be as bad as some mediocre street tires. Depends on what I spring for.

How long until the Cobalts are out and are there any that are currently available that I could get?
