Default Anyone using karting neck brace?

Curious if anyone is using this brace as a cheaper version of Hans.

I'm thinking he is referring to these.

I believe he's referring to these:

I have them from when I used to race karts, never bothered using them in the car.

the foam collars are mostly to help support your head.. its not going to keep your neck from over extending. i just started using a simpson rage pro harness.. its a little more comfortable than a hans unless you go with the cf version..

So it's not worth the effort to use it?

I would only use it for comfort/support, I don't believe it would really have any impact on safety.

Not if your goal (as stated in your first post) is to prevent a basal skull fracture in a crash. Foam neck collars aren't designed to do that -- they're just intended to help support your neck in a long race, as it might otherwise get tired from the g-forces.
