Default AP's in the SPEED World Challenge?

I know this was discussed with respect to the Grand-Am cup racing, but what about the Speed World Challenge.

What class would the s2000 fall under? Touring or GT?

GT and it would have it's ass handed to it. The S2000 doesn't fit well within the specs. Here is an example:

http://www.speedventures.net/track_records...se&results=&s=C

Note the lap times at sebring. This past GT race at Sebring had the top 5 running times in the 2:09-2:13 range.

It might fair better in Touring but the rules require a rear seat, no 2 seaters or convertables

[QUOTE]
Grand Touring (GT): Includes a variety of production displacements with no maximum. Forced induction is permitted and is used to equalize individual models. Sedans, coupes, convertibles and two-seat models are permitted. The cars can be rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive. Class horsepower range is 425-550 bhp.

Hold ON I disagree.... Scott's S2000 isn't exactly Speed World Challenge trim. I was talking to him about this at dinner the other night with some of the other tally guys. Way I see it scott has H&R coil overs which are UN adjustable and a saner bar on stock wheels. far from what you'd want. I don't know what the rules allow in Speed world challenge but Peter Cunningham's old NSX had a Supercharger..... So an S2000 with a Supercharger or a TURBO putting down in the 450 rwhp range on a built motor with some suspension tuning and Gutted much like You rich kids out west and some mondo wheels should be able to take 20+ seconds off scotts time around sebring. Hell I was only 4 seconds back from scott in a CSP miata on street tires 4 years ago.

Hell on Grand Tourismo 3 I can beat a C5R around Laguna in a 400hp S2000 with the same tires.

As Scientific as that sounds.....
Look the CTSV's are what almost 4000lbs.. the Audi RS6's same weight. I mean jesus these things are Boats going around out there. They are begging for a 450hp 2200lbs S2000 to come show them what real handling is. Can someone loan me $50K to go build one.

Anybody familiar with the SPEED cars? My impression is that they're generally much more modified than, say, the Grand-Am Cup cars.

and a lot more expensive

RSX gets essentially no engine mods(to increase hp) and all other speed touring cars have to have monster engine and other mods to make cars "competitive" the Honda MOTOR company

I wonder if a Noble M12 would be Speed GT legal. That thing would lay down some serious smack. HUmmmm.
