Have just listened to the launch press conference, Audi are aiming for a test at Sebring for the 12hrs before heading to Le Mans.

 

I might be a little naive but it looks just like the R8...

 

It is longer, slightly wider, but very similiar. I'm not sure the ACO were ready to let them completely change the shape of the LMP1 cars just yet.

5000rpm redline? At least it comes with insane amount of torque.

 

Uhh, the Previous LMP1 R8 didn't have a fake passenger tunnel, why does this one? Wouldn't that negatively affect aerodynamics?

 

i dont know if my thinking is correct but if you look at the back view of the car you see that if there was only one tunnel the air would split aroud the driver and hit the spoiler unevenly ---^-------, two tunnels will create even split of the air and the same even amout of air will hit the spoiler ---^-^--- thats just my guess
