Recently I emailed Ben and PM'd Randy. No answer back from either. As a last resort (meaning not to support our vendors is a last resort) I think you can get them direct from Porterfield at retail.

We have our Carbotech Panther Plus pads in stock and ready to ship. If you are a S2KCA member, you will receive a 10% discount. List prices are $129 front and $96 rear. With the S2KCA discount, it is $116.10 front and $86.40 rear + shipping.

The Panther Plus has a higher Cf than the R4S, along with a broader temperature range and more fade resistance (150F-1300F), and is also very streetable (i..e rotor friendly, moderate noise and dust) with good cold stopping power.

Andi, my brother is thrilled with the street performance of the SilverStreak pads you sold him (after I recommended you). Is this the compound you would recommend for a street only S2000 pad?

I'm gald to hear that, Chris!

For the S2000...the OEM Honda pad is very good in that fitment. I have looked at the compound used on the OEM S2000 pad, and I think that is the best choice for street-only driving.

Any potential issues running Panther Plus in the front and Porterfield in the rear?

On the S2000, you can safely run the Panther Plus in the front and the Porterfiel R4S in the rear - there are several S2000 customers doing that...no problem there. You will have a front braking bias, but it's not dramatic.

I'm currently using the Panther Plus pads and they work very well for the street. I used the Permatex Brake Quite goop on the shims and I get no squeaking at all. I can't wait to test out the pads at Laguna Seca.
