Default B-stock comparison: s2000 CR vs. NSX

Most of you may not care very much about how a CR compares to an NSX on an autocross course, but for the small number that may be interested... I double entered at our local autocross this past Sunday and drove my car (the NSX) and a fellow competitor's s2000 CR. The idea was to get a good idea of how the 2 cars compare on the same course, with the same driver. This is a pretty detailed report with side-by-side comparison video.

Full details: http://nsxftw.blogspot.com/2012/08/b...-s2000-cr.html

Cliff's notes: In just 3 runs, I went faster in the CR than in my own car.

I don't disagree with your conclusions (if I were to pick a car to run in B Stock, I would pick the CR -- in fact, I did ), but the fact that both cars were on wasted tires, and as a result were both handling badly, renders the comparison inconclusive, in my mind.

If I won the lottery, I'd love to build a Zanardi NSX (basically an NSX CR) for B Stock just to be different, but the lottery's not cooperating...

No doubt, the comparison is flawed. But sadly, I do not have a large enough testing budget to outfit both cars with fresh tires for testing purposes . Still though, while not perfect information, there are still some useful conclusions I can draw from this.

That S2000s rule? And that sometimes there's a reason to follow the masses? I wouldn't bet against a 2011 WRX in RTA, either.

Want to sell me your NSX?

I have no desire to sell the NSX, but hey, for the right price everything is for sale, right?

Best of luck with the sale Vivek. This has been a great car to see at events and sad to see it go! If my job didn't require me to drive to the ghetto each day, I would consider something really nice like this!
