back end scares me?
i posted this in the s2000talk forum, thought id throw it in here to get some tips from you guys.
I know i should go to a course and learn, and i will. I have lost the back end twice on turns, any tips, pointers that i should keep in mind when entering turns or in turns?

Questions.... In what driving environment did you get loose? Twisty road, street corner? What tires are you on? How many miles are on the rear tires? Was the driving surface wet? Do you know how to countersteer? Do you hammer the brakes and then hammer the throttle? What are your alignment settings? etc....
As you can probably tell, there are lots of things that can contribute to oversteer. Please tell us more.

tires are new, only 5000km on car, dry surface( i wouldnt even attempt on wet), street and highway driving(twisty, corners etc...)
i dont hammer throttle nor brakes . The back end just likes to loose it a bit when i am into a turn hard.

Slow down? Not being smart but if you are unsure of the limits of your car (or your own limits) the last place you want to learn is on the street with a new S2000. Go do some autoX and then a track day and you will learn a lot about your limits and your cars limits (and have a blast too). There a plenty of basic books which will give you some info also do a search with the following terms:
oversteer
understeer

You're either going too fast, lifting in the turn (letting off the gas), taking a bad line, or not being smooth. Work on those four things and when you've got them all down let us know! But seriously, it's not easy to tell you what you're doing wrong. My first thought is that you should rarely if ever have this car anywhere near it's limit on the street. Maybe in a canyon but on the street it would be pretty dangerous driving this car at the limit. Hopefully you're not one of "those" guys. I'd suggest you slow down some and work your way up to faster speeds. Also, get some instruction so you can determine if you're following the proper line for the corner(s) you're having trouble with. And remember, it's not wise to lift in a corner and you need to be very smooth. Jerking the wheel is bad. There's some pointers for you
