Default ball joint boots

I noticed that I've got a couple torn/cracked ball joint boots. I race this car about once a month and it has almost 100k miles on it. I haven't noticed any ill effects, but am wondering how concerned I need to be about replacing these. Has anyone had a failure?

You are talking about the tie rods?

The boots can be replaced. I would recommend doing so.

The tie rods too, yes.

But also the ball joints on the upper arm, and the lower arm.

Ah, I have no experience at replacing those. Good luck.

How long have you needed them? I think it's a heat issue, but the age of mine don't help. I just noticed them after Barber when I took the brakes off, but they may have been this way for a while. Some seem to be leaking grease, but some seem to have no grease left.

How do you like the KW's?

I noticed mine after last weekend at sebring, so I deff think its a heat issue.

Man the KWs are amazing, well I'll put it to you this way, The old TTC Track Record @ Sebring was a 2.35.5 in a 350z with tires suspension big brakes etc. I was on my Ra1s from RRR that dont die, my rears were pretty much slicks, and I managed to put down a 2.33.2

Im looking foward to Road Atlanta in August

I noticed the thread in the mid-a forums. I hope to see you all at VIR in July too.

Either way, it'll be good to have all you guys down. You'll love the track, and the competition.

Cale vs. Rene...should be very interesting
Isn't Skip changing to TTC as well?
