Default Best autox oriented datalogger?

As with all electronics new and better stuff comes out every few months. I haven't seen a thread like this in some time. Whats they best autox oriented datalogger? Danny Kao seems to be liking the traqmate one from the recient facebook posts I've seen. I'd like one that would hook up to my gopro black edition and record together but I suppose I can edit the data together via dashware or something.

requirements- under $2000

What sensors to get? Really just the ECU plug in would give tons of data because the CRs have a pretty high Hz rate feed.

I suppose I could just never tired it...

would you just record the data then export into a file and upload in dashware? I'm wanting lateral Gs and GPS course maps though, flashpro can't give me that!

Best hands down? Petrel Data SoloStorm.

I got to try it at last year's Packwood NT. It's super easy to use - just enter the drivers names, stick it in the car and it does everything else automatically. Get back from your run, and it's already cued up an analysis of that run and the previous fastest one. You can figure out where you gained or lost time, and how you did it, all quickly enough to implement the changes on the next run.

Harry's data is suspect (at best) compared to a real datalogger. I'll try to remember to record data via it at the same time as my G2X and post up a comparison.

i just moved to the iPhone - what apps are good for traqck and auto-x loging and video recording?
i see HLT and "TrackAddict HD" - anything else worthy?
also - is there a simple [cheap] way to get OBD2 data?
it looks like 15$ OBD bluetooth adapters don't work with iPhone

Well I have a DL1 and while it's OK I've finally decided I'm done with it. It's too slow to analyze...definitely can't do it between runs. And sometimes Prosolos can confuse it unless you hit the button between runs (which I want to minimize doing stuff between runs). It takes so long and can be kind of finicky that most of the time I don't even bother.

My codriver showed me MaxQdata this past weekend and I loved it. Not as powerful but super fast. Unfortunately you can't get that anymore, the company disappeared.

Personally I'm very interested in solostorm but I wish there was a way to try it without being out the $200.
