Best Wheels for AP1 in AutoX (AS and BSP)
What do you guys recommend? Since there very likely isn't a "best" wheel, what are some better, more popular wheels for AutoX? Thanks.
Well you guys have successfully convinced me to take off my s/c and compete in either AS or BSP. What wheels are the best for these classes? I'll compile a list as wheel recommendations are provided.
AS
TR Motorsports F3
JDM wheels
BSP
(everything from AS)
Volk CE28N
Mugen MF-10

With an AP1, there are more or less NO choices for wheels. Its the stockers, or the JDM stockers (which are pricey, but offer a pretty good weight reduction).
The wheels you have listed above seem to be more 17" for an AP2.
Just remember. Stock class must be same diameter and width as what came on the car (ap1 would be 16x6.5 in the front and 16x7.5 in the back) and +/- 5mm offset of stock (I believe stock offsets are +55 f and +65 r).
If you're just getting started, and dont have any dreams of going and winning nationals anytime soon, keep the SC and run SM2. If you've got the driving skill, most cars can be competitive locally even if they're not fully prepared to the limits of the class.

The TR Motorsports F3 are 17"s right? If so, they won't be legal in A-Stock for you. You have to run the 16"s. The only non-custom made A-Stock legal wheels for AP1's are the stockers and the JDM BBS stcokers.
For BSP, get the Volk CE28Ns or if price really isn't an option, go find some Mugen MF-10s. Those are the lightest options.

Are there any other wheels from Volk that you'd recommend for BSP or is the CE28N the clear winner for the S2000? I'm not too concerned about aesthetics. Also, What diameter would you recommend?

If money is no object: As has already been noted, the JDM AP1 wheels are the only stock class wheel for an '00-'03 model car.
Custom multi-piece wheels can be had at weights under 20 pounds for 17x10. These can be fabricated to your specific specs. Think CCW and similar companies.

This guy has a AP2 so I don't see any reason to get JDM AP1 wheels (throw him out of AS and for BSP why get a more narrow wheel than OEM)?
For BSP, I would start with the OEM AP2 wheels or TR Motorsports and run 245/275 Hoosier A6 with JRZ coilovers and a ton of negative camber. Later on, he could go for some custom wider wheels to get fatter rubber on.

"This guy" is asking specifically about AP1 wheels in his thread title. You think that might have something to do with why people are suggesting things that he asked for?
