Default Brake ducts for Stoptech BBK

I just ordered a set of Stoptech BBK for my car. I'm currently running a brake duct setup from http://robrobinette.com. Can I reconfigure my ducting setup without the brake shields to still pump air to my new brake kit?

Happy holidays.

You could zip tie the hose to the strut and see,
When I got my stoptech I upgraded to apr backing plates so I would keep the air flow directed. It took a lot of modification and still rubs alittle, but it works perfect LOL

WASP makes a BBK specific ducting outlet.

I can't seem to view the pic. Are you referring to the oem kit that works on spoon bbk?

If you already have a WASP kit for the OEM brakes and upgrade to a BBK I'm pretty sure you can keep the existing metal backing plates for the BBK. I talked to someone who did this with a stoptech kit. It won't quite seal the back of the rotor as well, but I'd think it still works for the most part.

If you're going to modify or remove the dust shields, I'd suggest routing the air to the rotor's center (does anyone make spindle ducts for the S2K?), allowing the duct to use the rotor's venting effectively. The current set up, with air going straight at the rotor's surface, is not very effective.

FWIW ive been running this kit for 2 years with no ducting (about 30 track days including ACS, MRLS and SOW CCW which are all murder on brakes) and they never fade, and im still on original rotors.

Feel free to duct to your hearts content but i dont think its necessary on this kit if you choose the right pad compound.
