Default Brake ducts vs Accord calipers

I've done a ton of researching on them. Seems like both would be great mods. I would like input from those that have tried both. Would ducts or accord calipers make the bigger difference in brake temps?

Do neither. Get a BBK.

None of the wheels I really want would be able to work with the bbk's.

I did the duct on my front and it work fine at the track with racing pads.

If you can only do one, ducting is the way to go, maybe with a better rotor. You will get longer pad life, but it will still be short and you will still crack stock rotors. I haven't heard that greatest thing about the accord calipers, it seems like most people end up selling them. Really BBK is the only way to go if you want very reliable brakes that last a long time, might need to look into wheel spacers etc. Also the Wilwood kit isn't great, but its low profile so it fits under a lot more wheels.

No experience w/ accord calipers, but I've had WASP ducting for a little bit now and it's hard to really say how much they helped. I'm sure they help get slightly better pad life, but ultimately if you're only getting 5 days on a set of pads, don't expect them to longer than a couple extra days. Track/driving style of course affect things, but they didn't extend pad life as much as I hoped.

Brake ducts will make the bigger difference in brake temps, but I agree with Sebring in that you should get a front BBK and readjust your desire for wheels.

What problem are you trying to solve today? i.e. are you having bad pad wear, cracking rotors, overheating pads? or are you just looking to upgrade 'something' in the braking department?

There are reasons to do certain mods and reasons not to.. It also depends on if the car will be competing and what the class it will be competing in allows (or penalizes) for braking upgrades.

Thanks for all the input guys. Greatly appreciated! My heart is set on rpf1's, 17x9 +45. I would love to run a bbk, but no way would it clear. I'm going to run the wasp ducts with the girodisc 2 pc rotors.

OEM calipers, slotted rotors with track pads, high temp fluid and brake ducts have served me well so far, haven’t cracked a rotor yet.
