Well I just got done. The abs sensors all had a ton of metal flakes on them. I cleaned everything with brake cleaner and the sensors with alcohol. I also sanded the knuckle where the sensor sat. Once that was done I sanded the rotors and deglazed all the brake pads. After putting the pads and calipers back on I blead all the brakes and changed the fluid.

I'm about to go "bed" them back in.

The car is back to locking up the front tires then abs like it used to be. I've missed that "throw you through the windshield feel."

Thanks guys! You all are a great resource!

I'm also having a similar problem as the OP. Not sure I could describe it as an ABS feel, but it may be possible that it's what I'm noticing. It feels like when I push the brakes, I have to push harder than normal for less braking than I should be getting. As the OP said, I don't have that "throw you through the windshield feel" like I used to and have experienced in others' s2k's. I know I'm due for a brake fluid change, but for some reason I don't think it will help much.

Anyone have any input, or think this is pretty much the same problem? I may give the suggestions above a try anyways just to see if it helps.

Thanks,
Drew

Drew I'd just do everything I did. $10 in sand paper, $15 in brake fluid, rubbing alcohol, and a few hours of your time. I'm sure one of them would fix it.

Okay, let's not turn this into a general "under the hood" thread. Josh had a very specific problem that comes up in autocross / track. This sounds like a general mechanical brake problem.

Agreed. This is not the same issue unless you hear and/or feel the ABS actuating when it shouldn't be. I would try all the things Josh originally was going to try, like de-glazing the pads (he posted a good link). While you're in there clean the ABS stuff just in case. Then bed the pads.

If that doesn't fix it, you probably should go over to the under the hood section and post there.

I would have done that, but my problem is occurring during autocross as well. Braking during dd is no problem. That's why I figured I'd just continue this. I guess I should have made that clear. But sorry, I guess I will go over there and ask. Didn't realize this would be a problem.
